Patt Lindsey
Patt attended her first orchid show in 1984. It happened to be the World Orchid Conference in Miami.
The orchid bug bit her that day. She joined Tropical Orchid Society right after that and has been a member
ever since. She knew that one meeting a month wouldn't do. Pat soon joined Orchid Society of the Palm
Beaches serving as Vice President for 2 years, President 2009 - 2012 and a third term 2021 - 2023. She is a
former member of the Jupiter Tequesta Orchid Society. When she began collecting orchids she wanted
everything. To hear her talk she said: "I killed so many, I'm ashamed to admit it" "I finally learned to grow
Cattleyas." That is what she specializes in now. These days her greenhouse has well over a thousand
specimen and prized orchids. Her collection is out of control but there is always room for one more.
